Dark Tales 18: Edgar Allan Poe's The Devil in the Belfry review

The process of passing is a detective, but no less exciting routine - finding all sorts of things, exploring completely different locations and solving intellectual puzzles.

The events take place in the fictional city of Morden. The location covers some pretty egregious cases of murder. Streets and houses are filled with dark tones, allowing for a more oppressive atmosphere.

At first, Constable Simon Loyal, previously known to the detectives, takes over the case, but after his loss, the hero realizes that something is wrong. Now the situation concerns not only the residents of the town, but also the fate of his old friend. Dupin arrives there personally and begins his own investigation.

The technical component has migrated from its predecessors. You can view current tasks, flip through all letters and notes found during searches. You can also view achievements in the form of snowballs. There is an opportunity to use the hints, in case the player does not quite understand what to do and where to go next.

Dark Tales 18: Edgar Allan Poe's The Devil in the Belfry contains two collections of items - puzzle pieces and magic cards. The former can be assembled into an integral picture, while the latter serve exclusively for collectors.

Mini-games have become a separate feature. Now they are more complex, more diverse, but no less interesting. Difficulty follows on the rise, allowing you to get comfortable with new mechanics.
