The beginning is very unusual: a man wakes up in his bed and does not remember anything from the events of the nearest future. He is attracted to the voices of the missing sons. Father wants to save his children. It is not that simple. Around him, the floor and walls shudder from the work of a huge machine, which must clean mankind of sins and vices.
Oswald Mandus, that's the name of the hero, having conducted some occult actions with the magic sphere, kills the boys himself. He is convinced that he is saving them from suffering in the future, that his inflamed brain could see.
Returning to London, Mandus builds a car, creates pig-humans and leads experiments with the elixir of life. After the death of a professor who spied on him by the orders of the government, the mind of the deceased passes to Mandus.
