The gameplay is a mixture of action with elements of parkour and stealth. All the familiar mechanics: jumping on the roofs, melee battles, silent killings, mixing with the crowd to leave the guard, riding a horse - moved to a new part. The developers added a lot of new content: the restoration of the city, the recruitment of recruits and the management of their guild of assassins. The combat system remained almost untouched.
The story originates in 1499 in ancient Italy, and then is transferred to Rome. Throughout the game, Ezio Auditore da Firenze will confront the Borgia family. In addition to the main plot, designed for approximately 15 hours of passage, the game also has many secondary missions.
For the first time in a series of Assassin's Creed games, multiplayer was introduced. Up to 8 players will be able to take part in a duel on one map.
