The theme of the surroundings has changed, in the previous part the pirates dominated, so the developers in Tropico 3: Absolute Power returned to the original idea that the player would return to the role of the President, the ruling island of the banana republic.

Tropico 3: Absolute Power review

First, the seizure of power by the Caribbean country of Tropico, and then the further development of independence. In a single player campaign, fifteen different missions, each with its own unique purpose. The player, as the head of state, is obliged to develop the territory given to him, to obtain resources, to conduct construction of buildings with a specific job. The island is influenced by the political course of the leader, namely decrees, laws and diplomacy with foreign countries.
There are seven political parties on the island, they include: religious fanatics, the Communist Party, environmentalists, militarists, the intellectual community and capitalists. Each has its own specific requirements, it all depends on the decree issued earlier. Since the events unfold during the Cold War, the president has to work with great powers to get help, because relationships are very important. If you neglect the alliance and conduct quite ineffective negotiations, it may happen that an invasion occurs in Tropico. Screenshots
