Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition review

Although the gameplay has been changed, it overlaps with the basics of the original game in many ways. The most striking is the improved graphics, which received 4K support. 3D models have been redesigned, now you can destroy buildings with great pleasure, thanks to improved animations, you can also watch what is happening in spectator mode.

The game supports mods and has a new multiplayer mode that provides cross-network play. The user interface has been redesigned and scaled up. There are new maps, as well as updated music and soundtrack. Two new nations have appeared in the list of nations: Swedes and Incas, which can be played in Historical Battles and Art of War. Another difficulty level has also been added to the game - extreme.

Fans of single-player games will be pleasantly surprised by the improved artificial intelligence, which is much more interesting to fight with. He chooses units more carefully, analyzes the map and troops of his enemies, makes up his army thoughtfully, and acquired the ability to retreat in case of obvious defeat.
