In the wall behind the wallpaper, the hero discovers a secret passage. After examining the hole and going down the stairs, he finds himself in a strange, gloomy place. In the center, there is a structure that resembles either a huge mansion or a jumble of houses and rooms. It is inhabited by humanoid birds and other incomprehensible creatures. The young man has to find his way home, but even more he wants to know the details about this place.

The story is told wordlessly through many scenes. The player will observe numerous scenes of the life of the inhabitants of the dungeon. The gameplay is based on exploring the environment and interacting with it.

All the riddles boil down to finding ways to advance across locations. Opponents will interfere with this. Each of them is unique and has its own model of behavior. What makes them general is that in the light they turn into certain pieces of furniture. Their features must be taken into account and used during the passage. Alternatively, by turning on the light at the right moment, you can immobilize the enemy and press the floor button, which opens a certain passage.

Most of the tasks come down to just this type of solution, but the developers tried to make the maximum number of options, constantly surprising and putting the player in unexpected conditions. Also, mechanical pictures are scattered around the world of Creaks, some of them show some scenes, while others are a mini-game with their own rules and goals.

The graphic style is recognizable and familiar to players who have played in other studio projects such as Machinarium. It's all the same hand-drawn characters and the world. Creaks features a darker mood and a slight bias towards horror. Screenshots
