Visage review

The main character woke up in one of the dark rooms of this house. It is not clear how he got here and what he is doing here. His name is Duane Anderson, at least that's what it says on the mailing envelopes. The room is a mess, and the remnants of dinner on the table hint that people were here not so long ago, and life was in full swing.

This is a psychological horror game that relies not on creepy monsters and screamers, but on a viscous atmosphere, understatement and competent soundtrack. Ghosts await in the dark, and the only islands of safety in this nightmare are areas of light.

The character is not able to resist physically and defend himself. It is allowed to take some tools in your hands, but only in order to interact with the environment, breaking through walls, knocking out doors, and so on.

Many things are also allowed to be lifted and used for their own purposes, for example, knocking out a window with a chair. Moreover, all objects honestly obey the laws of physics. Also hidden in the premises are various keys and quest items necessary for further advancement. Horrors do not pass without leaving a trace for the hero and shatter his psyche. It is also important to monitor this parameter.

During the study of the nooks and crannies of the building in Visage, the player will observe the stories of the death of all past residents. Each of them died in their own way, but the nightmare doesn't end there. The souls of the dead will haunt Anderson to the very end, watching from the darkness, waiting for the moment to attack and driving him crazy.
