The main character Mae doesn't want to look for a job, she prefers to communicate with youth, to go out with her friends or to wander around the city. The purpose of a game is studying of the world around in which the cat can move astrally, run and jump.

The game has unusual, memorable and unique design - warm pictures with neon elements, the cozy town covered with fallen leaves. Night in the Woods is based on an ordinary two-dimensional platform, there is no variety of game mechanics, and it’s an ordinary indie game.
