The plot of the game is not related to the events of the previous parts of the series. However, the main highlight of the storyline - temporary paradoxes - was saved by the developers. However, now the leaders of the Soviet Union are moving into the past with the aim of killing Albert Einstein, who is responsible for the technical superiority of Western countries.
For the first time, the Japanese Empire appeared in the game as a full-fledged nation, and the Samurai Codex was based on the philosophy of the army. Together with it, the gameplay included several dozen new models with unique mechanics.
The gameplay has become more dynamic due to the alignment of the balance of units. An important innovation was the full use of water in battles, as well as the addition of the ability to change the weapon profile for almost every unit.
The game implies the presence of multiplayer, which since the launch has become an object of criticism of players due to a blurred balance. However, as of 2020, multiplayer is not working, as GameSpy servers “died” back in 2013. Now only a game on the local network is possible.
In general, the third part of the series managed to maintain the atmosphere of the previous parts and stand with them in a number of legendary games “timeless”. Screenshots
