Forza Horizon 4 is an open world car simulator. This time, the arcade side of the Forza Motorsport franchise has moved to the United Kingdom. In previous episodes, the developers have always chosen a setting containing such a wide variety of biomes that sometimes this led to rather strange results (Australia in Horizon 3 has little resemblance to the real continent), but there was plenty of fun and variability.

Forza Horizon 4 review
The British nature cannot offer this, so Playground Games took an interesting step: a change of seasons is introduced in Forza Horizon 4. In fact, this is the most important innovation, the rest of the differences are cosmetic in nature.
Five hours after the end of the introductory part, the festival starts in full swing. At this point, the in-game world begins to follow the instructions of the central server, which manages the seasonal cycle. The change takes place on a weekly basis, comes with a short loadout, and makes fundamental adjustments to the visuals and gameplay. Although, thanks to the mechanics of the common world, you will meet your colleagues on the roads and can easily challenge them to a duel, this is still a full-fledged, single-player, arcade, racing simulator. Of course, it is not only sunny in summer, but it does not rain all the time in autumn. The weather is dynamic, as is the alternation of day and night, so the hot season can be very rainy, and autumn is happy to give you a few warm days and impenetrable fogs.
The races themselves are divided into categories. There are classic city tracks, "illegal" night sprints, off-road races, cross-country races and much more. The ability to customize the rules (the number of laps, meteorological conditions, car classes) adds dynamics and allows you to play only those modes that you personally like.
