Twin Mirror review

Sam fled Baswood a couple of years ago, leaving behind everything he held dear. This happened after the publication of an article about the unacceptable negligence of the leaders of the city-forming enterprise of the local mine. After a while, due to the death of his best friend, the protagonist had to return to his hometown. After the funeral, the main character plunged into a depressive state, and this is what caused further events that began to happen to Sam.

One day, waking up early in the morning in a hotel room, the hero is horrified to find that his outer clothing is splattered with blood, most likely not his. He cannot remember what happened to him last night. Plunging into his mind, the secrets of Baswood begin to surface before him, and only in them does the hero find the answer to the question of how he ended up in the hotel and why his things are in the blood.

Higgs is a person with many psychological problems, and because of this, he periodically loses self-control, so as not to go crazy, he is helped by his inner self.

The story of the game is non-linear, with his actions the player forms Sam's relationship with other characters. Twin Mirror doesn't just take place in the real world. When the protagonist tries to reconstruct the chronology of his memories, players often visit the inner part of his mind. Abstract reality offers new challenges to complete and explore the world.

The main character's goal is to find himself and heal his wounded heart. Players make choices and decide Sam's fate. Only the gamer has an influence on the course of the gameplay, and on the relationship of the protagonist with the inhabitants of the city. Screenshots
