Chronos: Before the Ashes review
This game takes place before the story told in Remnant: From the Ashes. The game is a role-playing adventure with many battles against hordes of monsters, led by golems, goblins and minotaurs.
The gameplay provides for a wide variety of weapons, powers and abilities. The main character is able to deliver blows of different strengths, make combos, block enemy attacks with a shield and dodge them, as well as parry.
Throughout the passage, the game will throw up a variety of puzzles that the player has to solve. The gameplay has a special mechanic - aging. After each death, the hero can return and continue the journey only after a year, since the passage to the distant lands opens only one day a year, as a result, with each death the character becomes much older.
At first, when the hero is still young, this is not very noticeable, but later it becomes clear that this significantly affects the hero, and in order to win, one must adapt to the age and use all its advantages. The younger the character, the more agile he is, and when playing, you can adhere to melee tactics, and the older one is weaker, but he knows a lot about magic, which is why enemies should be kept at a distance.
Every 10 years, the player is given a choice of a new perk that matches the age of the character. The player will have to explore every corner of the ancient labyrinth in order to save their native lands from the "Great Evil". And to win during clashes with opponents, not only reflexes are important, but also the ability to quickly think over the tactics of fighting.
