The action takes place in a fantasy world. The leader of the immortal elves who call themselves Tuatha has declared war on all mortal races. Naturally, the war is waged on unequal conditions, an elven warrior can be killed, but soon he will be revived and return to service. For this reason, the dwarves create a Well of Souls, which is supposed to resurrect fallen warriors, but their labors do not bring results. Suddenly, one dead man manages to return to life. The player is in his role.

The remaster does not offer anything new in terms of mechanics and plot. The vaunted battles remained unchanged. It's the same dynamic combination-based system. Pumping the hero does not bind him to a specific class, but only gives bonuses to certain types of weapons and equipment. Plus, you can redistribute skill points at any time, completely changing your playstyle. In the heat of battle, there is the possibility of activating time dilation, in which reprisals against enemies look even more spectacular.

Crafting deserves special mention. Finding various materials and obtaining them by disassembling swords, axes, staves and armor, the player is able to assemble his own arsenal. Each blade is made from different components such as the handle, guard, blade, and so on. Each element gives its own characteristics, which is why it turns out to collect any option to your taste.

The game world in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is completely open to exploration and full of side quests. Locals are always ready to tell their stories and tell something interesting about their surroundings.
