After that, combat assignments appear on the city map. Each of them has its own goals: to free the hostages, neutralize all suspects and others. Also before each output should be selected suitable equipment. At first, the choice is soothing, but as it turns out more and more weapons and instruments: pistols, shotguns, machine guns, machine guns, lightweight and gas grenades, thermal vision and night vision devices, body armor and more. However, the farther the player is moving, the more difficult the operations become.

All combat tags occur on separate, small locations. The camera is located strictly from above. Instead of people displays fabrics with a color indicator. Green - Friendly, Yellow - Neutral, Red - Enemy, Gray - dead. Also depicted icons of what is now in hand.

Despite the seeming simplicity, the gameplay is very diverse and requires prior planning and rapid reaction. Each building has a unique layout and various penetration options. It is quite logical that the fighter is not able to see through the walls, and therefore the vision field is constantly limited by obstacles or darkness.

Also, any careless actions produce sounds that will certainly attract attention. No one demands to kill all criminals, the primary task in Hot Brass is to arrest.
