Ancestors Legacy is a medieval RTS with linear mini-campaigns depicting events from the 8th to 13th centuries AD. The player takes on the role of an assistant to the famous statesmen of Europe in the early Middle Ages, helping them to win big victories with their leadership skills. As in Company of Heroes, these are, of course, fictional stories set against the backdrop of really documented historical episodes.

In addition to the Vikings, the Anglo-Saxons, Habsburg Germans and Western Slavs are represented.Individual missions can be conventionally divided into two types. There are those in which you have at your disposal a fixed number of military units and they cannot be restored. There are also tasks with access to the necessary resources and the subsequent production and training of troops. In the first version, the tasks are focused on all kinds of raids, sabotage and robbery. For these purposes, you can use the features of the landscape, such as tall grass, where you can hide troops and wait for the right moment to rush past the guards. Due to the alternation of night and day, visibility also becomes an important tactical element.
The combat system is based on the principle of stone, scissors and paper and thanks to the use of heroes, in the end it is quite diverse and exciting. Each unit has special abilities, experience level and armor. The last two indicators can be improved. Shield bearers can line up in a "turtle", and spearmen - in a "hedgehog". Berserkers know how to throw axes, and Christian infantry, consumed with religious ecstasy, rush into battle with such fervor that there is no way to retreat from them. Screenshots
