The game belongs to the action-adventure genre and has an open world. The creators are inspired by Howard Lovecraft and his "The Myths of Cthulhu" universe. It will not be possible to find references to specific works, since the general atmosphere of the universe is conveyed.

The Sinking City review

The game takes place in the United States in 1920. The main character is Charles Reed, a private detective who comes to the small town of Oakmont. The town was previously prosperous and densely populated, but has become a ghost town as a result of repeated floods. Its inhabitants have become victims of mass insanity, and this is due to supernatural forces. The protagonist's goal is to solve the mystery of the town, which is somehow connected with it.

The main character is the only person who managed to get out of the ship missing in the Bermuda Triangle. After that, he spent some time in a psychiatric clinic.

Starting an investigation, the protagonist learns about the conspiracy of the Great Old Ones, who decided to destroy humanity. Reed learns that he was lured specifically to open the sunken temple in order to release evil forces.

The Sinking City has three endings, depending on the character's choice:

1. The stars came together. The protagonist follows fate and lets out evil;
2. I'm leaving. Charles leaves Oakmont for Boston, taking an artifact with which he can try to stop the Apocalypse;
3. Leap into the unknown. Reed commits suicide to delay the awakening of the evil by a couple of centuries. All people are saved and the cycle is restarted.

The Sinking City allows players to plunge into the popular universe and be a detective. Screenshots
