Each level begins with a landing on an unknown planet inhabited by hostile creatures. The task is to find the teleport, turn it on, wait for it to be fully charged. The local boss will try with all his might to stop the process, so a fight with him cannot be avoided. It will not be possible to procrastinate and measuredly study every corner, after certain intervals the enemies are strengthened, which significantly increases the difficulty.

Each race takes place in a new area and with a different set of opponents. Kills bring finance and experience points, which in turn increases health and damage done. For money, you can buy different amplifiers and activate robots. The latter are extremely important for survival, as they can heal and help to shoot back.

Various artifacts sold in stores and hidden in caches have very different properties. Some even allow you to change the conditions of the game before the start. The project is rich in secrets and hidden mechanics. For example, players have 10 classes of heroes, but in order to open them, special conditions must be met. For some, you need to complete the game, for others, find a secret location or defeat a secret boss.

Fighters in Risk of Rain 2 differ both in appearance and in abilities that have a strong impact on tactics. There is a Bazaar, there is an opportunity to exchange items for rarer items, but you also need to find it first.
