The Walking Dead: Michonne review

The authors skillfully measure the pace: while the player is still thinking about the consequences of his last choice, he is suddenly attacked by zombies, and he is forced to react immediately. The game consists of three episodes: In Too Deep, Give No Shelter, What We Deserve.

The Walking Dead: Michonne's gameplay is more like an interactive movie. The creators spent a lot of time on various tinsel, while the essence of the game remained shallow, and the first episode is very short. It takes eighty minutes, during which there will be a couple of moments where you can actually die from zombies. The rest of the time the player just watches what is happening on the screen. The gameplay component has been reduced to a minimum, and the plot is revealed in more detail.

Telltale Games' games strictly adhere to a predefined scenario in which they try to manipulate the player. Warnings that the character will remember the player's actions are actually bluffs. A prime example: at the beginning of the first episode, Michonne is haunted by demons from the past, memories and the real world mix in her eyes. As a result, she puts a revolver to the head and forces the player to quickly make a decision: drop the weapon or pull the trigger, but the choice has absolutely no effect on the future course of events.

But despite some flaws, The Walking Dead: Michonne gained a following and received positive reviews. Fans of the popular TV series are always happy to take part in the destinies of their favorite characters and help them overcome all difficulties. Screenshots
