The main passage is led by the protagonist, but in the chase scene, the player can switch to Bigveld, and in some situations to a flying robot, which must first be repaired.

To overcome difficulties and complete tasks, Rodney can invent his robots, for which he must collect the necessary scrap metal and find the blueprints in advance. The protagonist can defend himself from enemies with a pistol and a wrench. As the player progresses, they can acquire new weapons.

The Robots plot begins with the player's acquaintance with the protagonist. Rodney lives in Rivet Town and dreams of meeting the creator of all robots - Bigveld. For the sake of fulfilling his desire, he decides to move to Robot City, and get a job at the factory of his idol.

Arriving at the factory, Rodney learns that Bigveld has long been out of work, and the plant is now headed by Phineas Ratchet. After a while, it turns out that Phineas is exterminating old-style robots made of scrap metal, and plans to create modern mechanical creatures similar to him.

In the city, the hero meets a gang of old robots who have suffered from the new rules of the villain. One of the members of the group tells about the injured Rusti, who needs to replace some parts. Rodney goes down the drain to collect scrap metal and help the robot. After the repair, Rodney and Rusti go to Bigveld's house, hoping for his help. Bigveld approves of the gang's plan and joins them to stop the evil tyrant and save all creatures from destruction. Screenshots
