The protagonist is a girl who found herself on a cold snowy island, having only clothes with her. To save her life, she has to get food and other resources, as well as create weapons from items found in boxes, on the territory or from animals.

After arranging the shelter and exploring the area, the heroine needs to hunt down some evil creatures called "Gods". Their bodies are huge, so the girl will have to find a way to shrink them, and then ring a bell in a hard-to-reach place. Each individual monster is unique and endowed with certain abilities; to destroy them, you need to identify weak points and develop tactics. Traveling around the world of the game, you can find rock paintings that give hints on how to defeat monsters.

The heroine's vital signs need to be monitored, as Praey For The Gods uses a depletion system. The girl's feeling of hunger increases, her energy reserves decrease and her body temperature drops. The lower the scores, the weaker the protagonist becomes. The cost increases when performing certain activities, for example, while hunting, running and in fights.

Hunting and gathering food is used to satisfy hunger. To increase endurance, you need to rest, and to warm up, a fire is made in a shelter where the wind and snow do not blow. There are also scattered elixirs on the map that can stop the decrease in indicators for a while. The scales can be expanded using totems, which are given for solving puzzles and discovering new places. Also, the heroine needs to have fully fulfilled needs in order to successfully fight the Gods.
