Now people and representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations live and cooperate side by side. When the conflict was over, ways were found for peaceful coexistence.

The player assumes command of an elite squad, which includes the best operatives. The task of the unit is to fight against motley crime on the streets.

The departure of the plot from military operations to police history markedly changes the story and presentation. Many members of the detachment were participants in the last war and were on different sides. This affects their relationship and is revealed in conversations.

The player has 11 special forces at his disposal, but only four are allowed to take on the mission. Those remaining at the base study and improve equipment, train, heal and interact with other services. The metropolis has a level of anarchy. The higher it is, the higher the crime rate, and when the maximum is reached, the game ends in defeat. To lower it, you need to complete tasks. In addition, there are story missions.

There are three groups opposed to the authorities in XCOM: Chimera Squad: psionics from the "Descendants", religious fanatics of the cult of the Sacred Spiral, and "Gray Phoenix" - collectors of alien technologies. Each faction has its own line of investigations, the completion of which is necessary to restore order.

The battles themselves take place according to the scheme worked out by a series. The main difference was the assault mechanics. Before starting the operation, you have to choose a method of penetration, each of which has its own consequences. Also, no fighter should die - this will be a failure of the mission. In order to avoid situations when a soldier dies on the first move of the enemy, it was decided to introduce the ability to reanimate a mortally wounded person within several moves. Screenshots
