The action takes place on the landfills of the Umbrella corporation. Several characters are available on each side, differing in characteristics and abilities. Survivors choose from six characters. Teens start out at the beginning of an intricate maze of rooms, corridors, research rooms, and more.
The gameplay here is a regular third-person shooter. Heroes explore the premises, find useful items and weapons, while fighting off the hordes of the pressing dead and other creatures of the virus.
You must complete the tests before the timer expires. Time is added for successful actions. Characters assign roles in combat based on their abilities. Someone shows themselves better in close combat, the other shoots accurately, and so on. The arsenal consists of six samples of firearms. For close contact, batons, boards, pipe cuttings and the like are provided. They have a limited margin of safety and break quickly.
The puppeteer in Resident Evil: Resistance selects scientists from among four familiar to fans of the series: Annette Birkin, Alex Wesker, Ozwell Spencer, and Daniel Fabron. They also differ in their skills. The player sits at the monitor and observes what is happening through the cameras placed throughout the complex. He is able to summon monsters. To do this, he uses special cards, the activation of which requires points that are credited over time and for murders. Also in his arsenal are turrets and traps. Particularly strong monsters, tyrants, can be taken under personal control, hacking the test subjects with your own hands.
