Three Kingdoms: The Last Warlord review

The game is executed in full 2D, which allowed to saturate it with a huge number of mechanics, possibilities, events and locations, while not keeping the system requirements low. The graphic and musical style is in the traditional Chinese style.

At the start, you are given a choice from a large number of scenarios, or you can create your own in a flexible editor. In any case, the main task will be to develop its capital and build up its authority. There are a lot of possibilities for this.

The gameplay is filled with a variety of micro-management: city management, searching and recruiting officers, collecting, equipping and maintaining troops, conducting hostilities, trade, diplomacy and much more. Every character in the world has hundreds of characteristics that have a direct impact on his attitude and effectiveness in certain issues.

Battles take place on separate maps. They are divided into two types: sieges and battles on the ground. The skills of the commanders directly determine what actions the troops will be able to carry out.

You can win in different ways: defeat all enemy units, kill the commander and his retinue, during the assault it is worth breaking through to the main square and lowering the enemy flag. We must not forget about the condition of the soldiers - a hungry or depressed soldier will most likely run away from the field.
