The Survivalists review

As is customary, in projects of this genre, the player's main activity will be exploring the territory, collecting resources, crafting the necessary tools and further expeditions deep into the location for more valuable loot.

However, the character is not alone in his survival. Except for the hostile inhabitants, local monkeys keep him company. They can be taught a variety of actions and given commands. A properly organized menagerie becomes like a conveyor belt that produces everything you need for life.

Training is carried out visually: it is necessary to show the primate a certain action, as he immediately begins to repeat it. This is a must, as building and crafting takes a lot of time without helpers. Some of them should be turned into their guards. Armed primates faithfully follow their leader and attack any enemy.

Locations in The Survivalists are randomly generated. They are full of various attractions: Ancient temples, caves, jungles, as well as wrecks of vehicles of different types and eras. Here you can easily stumble upon the skeleton of a pirate galleon, and after a few meters the fuselage of a pre-war aircraft will lie. Bottles with notes are generously scattered across the beaches. Some of them contain tips for a better understanding of the mechanics, others are wrapped in treasure maps.
